Hi Smokerella and Sue. Maybe the easter bunny should pay a vist to your homes.
We still find 8 year old eggs in the garden where the easter bunny 'forgot' where he hid them!
Sue, sorry for worrying you too much. It does seem that I have been having major troubles coming to grips with life smokefree. But that is not suprising as smoking basically was my life. And even the slightest issue would result me in breaking open a new pack of smokes and going outside and smoking until the issue was over. Its all about learning how to overcome each issue without smoking.
Obviously, what happens is that I encounter a slight issue such as being told to smoke, I doubt myself and then my confidence gets floored. Now I guess I could question about whether I am really cut out for this at all and should have given in months ago...but I am not, because it won't help anything and I am on a positivity drive and only supposed to think about positive things.
So I ban myself from the following mental statements :
'I am not cut out for this'
'I could fail at any second'
I will add to this list as time goes on.
Patrick, you're doing really well and sorry for missing your post. Don't worry about the age issue. I may have to work on my self worth I think as I don't really plan on making 40 let a lone 50 or 60. Possibly all this quitting has gone against my live fast die young ideals. This may change in time I guess. Yes, I know I have a lot of work to do on the way I think.
The skies are blue, the sun is shining and things really aren't so bad right now. On to the next hour smokefree. This weekend I shall continue re-ripping my entire music collection, which shall keep me occupied.
I hope everyone is having a great Friday, wherever they are in the world.
HUGS from Kev
