Hi everyone. Well it is down to the wise advice here that I make it another day smokefree. How many more days I can do it for though is anyone's guess. I am just going to fight and fight until I can no more. Then and only then can I be happy I gave it my best effort.
On the depression side of things, it runs in the family so I would not be suprised if I have a bad case of it too. Having seen my mum being pushed from pill to pill it seems very much a 'start with a, go through to z, and if none of that works, start with a again'. The generally leaves me with not much faith in the medical profession. That and the fact that I am unable to swallow tablets, which my doc just can't understand. I'd have to be dead or tranquilised before I see the doc again.
There is of course a possibility that I am not depressed at all and just affected by depressed people around me. :) Either way, the only current way for me is to make my own happiness. Building from a base of only thinking positive things. I think I will start with 'For me to have made 208 days smokefree is an amazing thing.' My theory is that if I only think positive things then positivity will start to show in me. Saying it and doing it are whole different ball games. Lets call it 'ideal plan'. 'Realistic plan' is to find and increase brain rewards (baths, music etc) and to try and hold on as best as possible.
I've tried to melt all answers into one post and even got a little smile in for bear. However, if you feel I missed anything then let me know.
I've just had a bath, and my immediate plan are to sort out my music collection and try and divert my mind away from smoking.
I would like to wish GRIN a happy 200 days! You rock. And I would like to thank you all for supporting me. You are my rock and a testament to why I am still here, getting up from the floor and trying to continue on.
