Hi Jazz Sorry to hear you are having a bad day. I hope it gets better for you soon. I never really had much trouble sleeping, but I did have a couple of weeks where I did absolutely nothing. I felt I could not function. Cried all the time and felt useless. It does pass and it gets a whole lot better. Hang in there, you can do it. It is so worth the little bit of trouble we go through. Once this is all said and done, you will feel 100% better about you. Until then, pamper yourself, and keep on going. Jazz, Not to worry. When I quit I did not use anything (just cold turkey) and I still experienced what you are talking about. It does not pass, but it can be very annoying. Hang in there, it does pass (I no longer have the issue) and maybe the doctor can help. hey Jazz, it is miserable isn't it? Thank God it is temporary. For a few nights when I was on chantix I had to take Nyquil to sleep. But it is temporary and you will get through it. Hey Jazz Sorry this is a sucky day for you and the nights sound worse! I am lucky that I have not had trouble sleeping at night. I am using the Nicorette gum, 2 mg, and have had no issues with sleep. Check with your Dr, maybe you could try using this of an evening? I know how hard it is, I am on week 2, but feel stronger and and proud of myself for continuing. Had a rough night last night, just lots of stress on the homefront, but made it thru without caving. I am still surprised that I have not "cheated" even once! I think it is going to work this time! It has too, we have all invested so much into this quit, no turning back now..look ahead to brighter days and sleepier nights!! Hang Tough, Jazz!! (((Jazz))) I am sure the pharmacist will have some suggestions on sleep aides. I am using thrive lozenges this time because of the problems I had with sleeping when I used the patch. Hubby can use the patch with no problems. Hope you have a good day. Well, I'm going to talk to the pharmacist at lunch today. Not being able to sleep is getting out of control. My eyes are so puffy from lack of sleep and crying in the morning I can hardly get my contacts in. The first 2 weeks on the patch were filled with all those weird dreams, so now I take my patch off even earlier (5:00 p.m.) The stupid dreams have stopped but I lay in limbo all night, the body feels like it might be resting but the brain isn't. I know part of this could be age/homones, but this is WAY more than that. I'm usually really energetic and upbeat, but I've lost a lot of that and spend more time being a couch potato than walking or working around the house. Hopefully the pharmacist can suggest a sleep aid of some kind. I have 2 more weeks on the 21 mg patch, and am thinking of switching to the 14 mg, but don't want to cut myself down too early and risk losing my quit. But....I'm getting to that point. I feel too tired to care about quitting right now. So....thanks for letting me rant. Sorry about the negative stuff today - it's not my usual self talking today.
