Hi everyone, Not a lot I can say today other than thanks for the lovely posts. You rock!...as always. I'll write properly once I have had some sleep (I need sleep badly as I have been just laying there thinking about smoking). Decent sleep helps me think a bit straighter too..and helps the positivity flow :) Until soon. Come on now Kev. You know you've done it. SIX MONTHS!!! Imagine that. Incredible and worth celebrating and feeling positive about. Just thought of a six month celebration rhyme for you: 'Imagine, imagine. Mrs.Mc Fadden, Laid an egg and it wusnie a bad yin.' (nb. McFADDEN rhymes with bad yin) There you are - just to cheer you. Kev, Congratulations on your 6 months! WOW! Have you filled in the Anniversary Celebrations section (see menu on the left hand side)? You can have a permanent record of the achievement. Look at the names that went before you - mine is there too, and I am still in touch with most of the people who congratulated me then. I went back and looked through my quit diary to give you an update on your next instalment! I had problems with depression and "emotional instability" when I first quit - I marked in my diary when I had really bad days, just to monitor things over time. My last entry was in month 7, so by month 8 I was through the worst. That's not to say that I never had a bad day after that, but I had turned the corner. So by month 6, you have had a lot of experiences which would trigger a smoking crisis. And you got through every one! So I agree that you may not yet be overjoyed about not smoking, but at least you have proved to yourself that you can do it. Six months is the big milestone, Kev. It's the one that really hurts. You know that the "prolonging the inevitable" thoughts are junkie thinking. Really - they are - I know because I had them myself. Please hang in there when you are having a bad day, because a good day will be there soon. love and hugs, Lizzie :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/23/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1722 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25,830 Amount Saved: 6,457.50 Life Gained: Days: 177 Hrs: 3 Mins: 16 Seconds: 5
