Hi Kristilu, It's great that you're noticing all the negative effects of smoking and all the terrible chemicals that are in cigarettes. Don't forget to keep your focus on your goals and how better you will feel! Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

absolutely Kristi! We not only paid good money to be abused physically, we were abused mentally. Think of how much control nicotine had on our lives. How we believed the lies. How we thought we could not be "whole" or satisfied without that cig! Use your passion to stay quit!! You're going to do just fine :) G My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 172 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,160 Amount Saved: $825.60 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 17 Mins: 59 Seconds: 29

My husband is always telling me that knowledge is power. Seems as though he is right, although I do sometimes get sick of him always being right. So this morning I applied that to my quit. Now, every time I see someone light one up, or if that junkie voice starts breaking thru the sound of my keystrokes, I think about what is in a cigarette. I read a post on ammonia, but there are so many other things in a cigarette that I never knew. I mean, you wouldn't take a bottle of finger nail polish remover or ant poison and light it up would ya? You wouldn't stick your mouth to the back of a plane to inhale the fuel would ya? I mean we are addicted, to you might as well say, weedkiller???? And suddenly it is so crystal clear to me. I would not, absolutely not do anything like this, so why am I willing to pay for such a thing, that's doing nothing but poisoning my body. I'm surprised that we are alive today and have lasted this long. And then I get angry that such a thing in our society has been allowed, when you have to show your drivers license to buy advil cold and sinus because of the meth heads. But consumers can buy tolulene, ammonia, weedkiller etc, all rolled up in one. Guess I'm probably sounding like a crazy anti cigarette activist by now, but does anyone else ever get ticked off that this stuff is so addicting yet legal??? If I've lost it someone please tell me.... I may be getting too much oxygen....
