I know I should be taking it easy at first. But, I was thinking .... if I could replace one addiction with a healthy addiction (running for instance) it might be easier..... Your lungs are going through Detox hon.. Take it easy a lil. You may start coughing and hacking some of that gunk out of there as well. Kristilu, If you weren't running before you quit, you might want to start a bit slower especially, if it is painful. Some had chest pains, with or without exercise. But keep an eye on it, you may want to check with your Doc on it! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 308 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,700 Amount Saved: $3,249.40 Life Gained: Days: 40 Hrs: 11 Mins: 37 Seconds: 36

and my chest was really hurting. Felt like a log was sticking thru me. Just wondering is this a common experience among quit newbies when trying to exercise????
