Kristilu Fantastic - you're still going! This is such a tough time, every hour's an achievement. "chili cheese fritos and peanuts. I know it's not a very good choice....got me thru" What do you mean, not a good choice? It got you thru - it was a brilliant choice!! You won't get addicted to chili cheese fritos and peanuts. Get through these next few hours and days and you can be free from the lousy smoking addiction. Hang tough, as you say on that side of the pond. Actually talking about sides of the pond, I wish we could get chili cheese fritos on this side of the pond. Thanks everybody, it is finally easing up, of course, I did go to the store and buy me some chili cheese fritos! and peanuts. I know it's not a very good choice, but at the time I just needed something and didn't have time to be too choosy. It got me thru, but I can't keep doing that I'll put on 20 lbs in a week. You're right Dave - day 2 is a you know what! I'm still drinking water, and that's keeping me busy going back and forth to the restroom :8o: ! Trying to prepare for my after work drive now..... Ok OMT - I'm hangin in, I want to be in the New Year No Nics!! Hey, I'm with you Kristilu. Just keep yourself busy. Whatever you do, do not smoke! It does get easier, I promise. Stick with it Kristilu! I've quit loads of times and blown up on day two. I don't know why it's such a tough day. I think maybe it's that you've quit long enough for the cravings to be really hurting, but not long enough for you to feel you don't want to waste what you've achieved. But once before I got past it and then did four months. I only failed that time because of a separation; I think I'd have got past just about anything else. This is the second time I've got to day three and although it's still tough I'm at day 16 now and it is getting easier. I'm definitely planning never to have another day two to get through. So grit your teeth and get to day three. Then grit your teeth and get to day four. Suddenly you've something that you've invested enough in to protect, and you can look forward to it starting to get a tiny little bit easier each day. But you've got to get over the day two hurdle! Good luck. I made it thru a difficult conversation with my husband at lunch. We were on a topic that I would usually chain smoke thru. So, i get back to work, speeding past the stores on the way back to work and everyone is driving me crazy. And on top of that, I was typing this message out, had a real long message typed and hit ESC and it deleted the whole thing and I had to start over. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I am chewing gum, drinking water and breathing...... Day 2 , both times has been a hard day for me, I just want to make it over this hurdle......
