I've had a particularly hard time quitting, even though I'm still quit. I will say that even for me, the junkie has shut up or at least is reduced to a whisper. The intense feeling is still there, particularly during stressful times but the voice is gone. Keep telling that voice to SHUT UP. Think of pink elephants if you have to until that junkie gets the message.
