Kev, Take a long deep breath and pat yourself on the back. You are your own reward. Almost 200 days. Now how cool is that. You are awsome. Hi Sue and Tresa, As soon as I know, I will write here. I've told my sister to text me when the results come back. I am hoping for the best too. Whenever I hear the word hospital, I always think Norovirus so have been a bit on the queasy side for a couple of days. Being a hypochondriac and all that ... :) There is good news of course. My sister has bought a car by proxy, well at least put the deposit down. So she will soon have wheels that will not let her down in the dark with a baby. It even got Kevs seal of approval :) Sue, I've heard about this bow-flex thing. Was it a craze in the US? If so, we'll get it in a couple of years. :) Maybe there should be a thread for quit rewards that didn't work out :) Next time I go to M&S I will describe it in detail for you. Btw, smelling rocks and talking to rocks is great. Smoking rocks I have heard is possible but not so great. Young Tresa, super BIG hugs for you. I haven't done that in a while. 9 Days away from the big 2000!!!! Now that rocks. Thanks for staying with me. And I will eventually get around to FB. Kev, Please let us know how your Sister and little Grace are getting on - that is a bit scary, although not as dangerous as when Grace was new born. Today you are 193 days smoke free...getting ever closer to the big 200! I sometimes struggle with rewards...I sometimes "save" my reward until I can think of what I want. It's especially nice when it is something you would not have previously done or been. oh Kev, rewards shouldn't be so tough eh? You can have my Bow Flex that sits unused in the cats room okay? Well maybe some of that bath gel you like and a nice relaxing candle would be a nice reward. You could go to Marks and Sparks and then tell me all about it as i miss it. I am so proud of you Kev, we are going to be at a year soon. Keep me posted on your sis and Gracie, okay? I have them in my prayers. xo Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 262 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,620 Amount Saved: $458.50 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 13 Mins: 26 Seconds: 40

Last post from me today, probably until next weekend... This one is for Sue in NC as she asked about my six month reward and I haven't got around to replying personally. Well two failed attempts so far. Attempt 1 was a treadmill. However, after hours of negotiations over a 3 month period (it was supposed to be my 3 month reward) with my family, it seems we still do not have enough space. So to attempt 2. Next on my list was a chess database, which apparently you could download from the internet (instant gratification), so I payed $140 and waited for the link, as you can guess by now...nothing. I have written many times to support but to no avail. I can wave that money goodbye. So in a minute I will write out a list and see if I can come up with what I really want (other than 'to smoke'), that takes up little space and will get lasting enjoyment out of. I do see the funny side of wanting to smoke over a reward for not smoking. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 192 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,800 Amount Saved: 806.40 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 15 Mins: 16 Seconds: 42

Good Morning everyone, while I have a spare few minutes I thought I would like to write to my favourite friends. Still working on the positivity thing. Despite my sis and grace being back in hospital with suspected e-coli (hopefully not the fatal strain) and various car troubles for my sister (the other one's gear box died spectacularly whilst being driven to see what could be done about its failing emission despite having a new lamda sensor and cat fitted). There are always positve things to look at. 1) I am 192 days smoke free. 2) All those people who popped in and replied to Anna's half year thread she created for me 3) Phil sent me an email. That made my day 4) Aloha sent me spam unwittingly. I don't care, I just like communication of any sort. Especially as it travelled all the way from Hawaii :) 5) I am 192 days smoke free! I thought I would say it twice as I still cannot believe it :) 6) I haven't had a heart attack yet from the increasing work stress 7) Kelly didn't think about smoking all day, twice in a week...and now she has relative quitting! 8) I have things to keep me occupied So in effect I drew up my own positive list after all. Right, more to come from me at some point, re : 6 month rewards, quit buddy update and advice and more...
