So now you have discovered, it sucks to be smoking....again! What I said this time...I will do WHATEVER, WHATEVER, it takes to stay quit. No going back. Yup the first 12 days are hard, but then there is another 12, then another 12, then another 12. It's just a number. One day at a time. Start the slate clean everyday. Just one thing to remember, which you have learned. NOPE!!!! The fact that you are back tells me you want to be smoke-free...so do it! I know you can and will. Boy can I relate to days 10,11,12 :eg: I lost more quits around that time. What I have learned is that by the time I get there I am winding down from the first few days of getting quit. I get bored. I let the chatter inside the mind take over. I think (big mistake) I can have maybe a puff or two, then maybe I could have one and then to heck with I have already messed this quit up I'll buy a pack and regroup. I did this more than I care to admit. I tried all different ways including cold turkey. You know what I needed was a little extra help, so I finally gave in and took Chantix. Look at my stats. We all can use help now and then to get to where we want to be. So glad to see you back. Hi Wazz, I'm so happy to see you back in here. Be just like that little train. I think I can, I think I can. You can. I have faith in you. If I can quit you can quit. You just have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. Well I have to the realization that quitting is very very hard. I once thought it was all will power but not true. I now think its alot more than will power. Its also the combination of desire, determination, will power and probably even more. I want to quit so very badly and I seem to keep getting beat by this addiction time and time again. Geez in 8 years this is my 6th try and 2nd in 3 months. I never make it past 12 days, dont know why just yet but I am exploring that. Well any hoot as my new stats speak for me Im trying again. Dont get me wrong i am trying again just as I always tried before to sucseed. I have also found out more about rewards. See I always thought that the accomplishment was the reward. Quitting is an event but such a long term event that I now understand about short term rewards. If I can make it this far I can be rewarded in this way. Never really saw it like that before just tried to get days then weeks under my belt sorta speak. I will try the rewards way. BTW I am doing this cold turkey again.
