How to deal with the rage? It can get me in some real trouble.

Tryagain, I, too, AM SO ANGRY that I am addicted to nicotine... Most days are better than others.. I think we all feel this way from time to time.. BUT, please exercise more, just get outside & walk... see a DR. for drugs that can help you through this time.. You may feel better already after venting.... Good luck. Don't be an angry smoker!!! Tryagain! No one can make you do something which you, yourself do not want. This, is obviously something much more than the desire to smoke. Go and see someone for help. Life is way to short to spend it in that kind of hell. Please see a Doctor or other health professional as soon as possible. :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 238 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,950 Amount Saved: $2,510.90 Life Gained: Days: 29 Hrs: 2 Mins: 17 Seconds: 55

I agree, 275 days quit, I think the anger could be caused by something else. One thing to remember is that these quits are ours and ours alone. I'm not quitting for anybody but me. My reasons include loved ones, but they are not the ones that made me quit. Did your loved ones REALLY make you quit? There is more to this than just quitting smoking. Please go and talk with the medical profession. Perhaps its because this state makes it a point to war against smokers, making it illegal almost everywhere. Depending on where you are, it can be illegal on a street, or in your own home. I don't know why but lately I am just blaming everyone for the quit. I have somehow lost responsibility for my decision. My resentment and rage is just terrible. I told my husband that I hated him for what he is doing to me. It's not just him, I hate the world. I want to strike out and fight with everyone around me. I want people punished for what they are doing to me. What's being done to me is only what I'm doing myself, which is staying quit. For every person that told me it was a good thing I quit, there are two to tell me to go back. I'm just too hard to deal with anymore. I am just way too nasty and outright hostile. I have not actually hit someone, but I've come close. I just have to set aside this hatred of everyone. It is NOT the world's fault that I quit smoking. A man I know quit four years ago. He is still taking little cruelties out on his wife because she wanted him to quit. Still after FOUR years!
