Dennis, I have anger issues as well. I'm doing better now... somehow, though I think it's just by chance and that it's something that began working itself out on its own. (plus some of my health related meds have changed and that probably has a lot to do with it)
I've also been thinking of ways to cope with it. For starters - guilt can be a good thing in that it lets you know that you're human, but try not to dwell on it because it will only fester and cause the same to happen again.
Also - if you have any health problems that require meds - make sure they aren't helping this along. For instance, I was taking a sleeping pill that is known to cause hormonal fluctuations (Rozeram(sp?)) and though it made me sleep, I spent the entire next day the most agressive SOB on earth! If there isn't anything you know of, then maybe a check up and blood panel are in order?
Now that I have my meds straightened out, i've been trying to recognize triggers and feelings. I've only been at this a few days but so far it seems to be related to fear, and feeling helpless. Tonight I got a bit pissy towards my family after my daughter told me that the school did something to her that I felt was very very wrong. I left the situation with my family, and wrote a letter to the principal, and am now hanging out here until I feel better. My head hurts now, but I am calmer.
Next time I will try to remove myself before I start getting pissy. I didn't let it escalate this time to an outburst, and i'm calling it a victory overall.
