Thanks dr.jan, I'll try it. I can't believe that it's still happening after six months! I don't think that my family could take it that long! I am with you Angela!! I want... no NEED to make it stop! I just don't see an end in sight. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it stop? And why do they smell soooo fowl? What is wrong with me? I know it isn't my diet because all I ate today was an apple and some raw baby carrots and all I drank was water. Maybe if I only drink water tomorrow it will make it stop. I don't know. I'm at the end of my rope on this one. I'll try anything. Help! Thank you! I thought there was something seriously wrong with me! At first I thought it was from beans so I cut those out of my diet, then I thought it might be from the sorbitol that they put in sugar-free candy because I ate so much of it so I stopped eating those and my gas did go away for a day or so but now it's back. I feel bad for the dog because he keeps getting blamed for it and sent outside by my family! Seriously, sometimes it is so bad (pungent!) that I do not want to go out in public. What can I do to make it stop? And how much longer can I expect this to go on? Wow. And to think that for six months now I've been alone hiding downwind from the world. I was scared to go to the Beach because if I jumped into the water, ya'll would think the ocean had turned into a jacuzzi. Seriously, I found that fresh ginger root grated into a cup and steeped in hot water helped freshen my insides. Best to all, dr. jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/15/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 200 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,019 Amount Saved: $800 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 14 Mins: 41 Seconds: 59

oh yeah... this is the fun part ! :) This is a usual side effect of quitting. Do you also notice mild constipation ?. The body goes through some pretty serious chemical adjustments 3 weeks following the quit. The body learns to manage it's own sugar, fat, & dopamine reserves all over again to that of prior to smoking..thats why we get the dizzy, exhausted & spaced out feelings. Smoking a cigarette triggers the body to release these reserves, by smoking we self medicated :8o: Eat plenty of Fruit (contains natural sugars) drink lots of water & most importantly enjoy these side effects as they don't last long, It's the body healing itself. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 406 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,165 Amount Saved: $2639 Life Gained: Days: 58 Hrs: 6 Mins: 13 Seconds: 49
