Concerns about using NRT

Hi, Jazz. Congrats to you & your hubby on quitting & on 5 awesome days! If you use your time on the patch to identify triggers and put strategies in place for them, to understand the reasons you smoked & re-inforce your reasons for quitting, and to be excited and positive about all the good things that are happening to your body, then you will have no problem at all when it's time to get off the NRT. You might have some little nagging craves for a couple of days and you might feel a little bit cranky & tired. Remember, by the time you get to the end of the program, you are actually getting very little nicotine and you have been training yourself to do without the habit part of smoking. Good luck with it & keep it up, you're doing great! Jazz. At the end of the 10 week supply you will go threw some discomfort nothing serious. When you use the patch you reduce your dependancy on nicotine for whatever reason you chose to use it. Does it really matter the object of the game is to become free of nicotine, come on now why are you quitting. Tell me again. :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 293 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,274 Amount Saved: $2,930.00 Life Gained: Days: 71 Hrs: 7 Mins: 53 Seconds: 54

Hi again. Proud to be working on day 5! Hubby and I are using the patch to help us quit, but after reading through some of the posts, I'm getting the feeling that we're going to go through the same withdrawal symptoms after we finish the 10 week supply. Tell me this isn't so......... Things are hard enough right now. We don't want to be successful for any length of time then have to struggle harder when we're done our patches. Help?!?!
