Welcome Valic - We'll go through this together Haha... treat myself I have. I have been eating everything in sight this week. Thank goodness I have a little waistband to spare! This was a rough week, but I made it, none the worse for wear :p Finally at the weekend, and for the first time in 18 years, I have gone more than a day without cigarettes (or nicotine replacement). Monumental! What an awesome bunch you all are here on the SSC for us 'kids'. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't have made it past day one without the amazing group here!!! Hey D, We are almost the same in our quit dates! The first days are the toughest and then little by little it gets easier.Just get over those triggers one at a time. And congrat yourself on every minute you don't light up! Rewards thats what its all about. And they can be free, like today my company had a lunch meeting. And I had a little piece of chocolate cake for dessert and to congradulate myself on another smoke free day. So make sure you have your rewards they can really keep ya spirits up! ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 15 Amount Saved: $15.90 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 11 Seconds: 36

That's the best bit about the SSC, you're entitled to lose all sanity here anytime you need to vent! As for the gym, be sure and drop the dumbbells before you start swinging at anyone ;p You're on day 3 now, so get thyself laughing - best distraction I can recommend! Check in when you can. x T My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 368 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,464 Amount Saved: 2,024.00 Life Gained: Days: 31 Hrs: 8 Mins: 13 Seconds: 48

Some great advice and perspective on the situation. It is great to know that my temporary loss of sanity can be rationalized... Congrats Nonic and Todash on your recent one-year anniversary. I can aspire to be where you are today!
