Strange thoughts

The Doctor did not prescribe paxil as I thought, decided to give me mirtazapine, this caused some irregular heart beats so now I am afraid to take it, it did help me sleep the first night. They said the irregular heart beat was a side effect of the medicine, they have now offered me lexapro.. don't know anything about it though

Hi, my name is melissa and i am wondering how people have been feeling on Lexapro? I was taking this horrible new medication called: Cymbalta. Which is and was a nightmare. I am now weening off of it and starting Lexapro. I would love some feedback from people that have been on it. Thank you. My e-mail is: melisnl@aol.com

This stuff happens all the time, it is obsessive thinking... I am having a real hard time with it myself.... I feel like I am going crazy, my pychologist tells me try to use a sense of humor with the thought, if you frighten yourself with say a thought of going crazy and stabbing your family, try to change the thought into something humorous, it is hard but the fact that you can change the thought is comforting, change the scary thought to squirting them with green jello or something stupid. I was told that these compulsive thoughts are thoughts that we try to distract ourselfs from the real problems with. I don't know exactly. I know tomorrow I go to my my psychiatrist and Am going to start Paxil. I can't stand these thoughts , they are very scarry but I am told they are just thoughts, they are nothing you would really do, and if you notice if you are distracted doing something they go away.. I also compulsively play the same song in my head sometimes, how annoying this becomes, hopefully the medicine will help me. GOod luck

Hello All - Just a quick question......Does anyone ever just have sudden or terrible thoughts just pop in there head and then you are scared the rest of the day about the fact that you even had those thoughts? It scares me so bad. I woke up this morning and for no reason this awful thought popped into my head and the fear that I even had that thought put me into a panic for the rest of the day and is still bothering me. HELP!!!???
