Hey Sparky, Yes we are doing this!!!!! One day at a time we make it through with the help of God and this site we will continue to do this. Skullyfrost, You can do this too. Chantix helped me and I know it can help you but it can't do it for you. You have to want to quit. Keep posting there is always someone around to help. Skullyfrost, A relapse can be hard to come back from partially because it's much easier to go back then it is to stay quit. Quitting can be challenging which is why it is important to have a good reward system. Did you have one? Did it work for you? Did it help you keep motivated? What caused your slip? It's important to learn from that as well. Posting on the support groups when struggling can also be helpful safeguard to your quit. We are ready when you are. Skullyfrost, you can do this. You are young and you can look forward to living a very long smoke free life. What a wonderful gift to give to yourself. When I was your age smoking was completely acceptable. I could smoke everywhere and not be looked down on. Things have changed :eg: Take some time and really look at the reason you want to quit. The desire to quit has to be stronger than the desire to smoke. For some of us it took several tries but we are still here. Now because some of us had a hard doesn't mean you will or think you will. Get back on the Chantix, follow their program and SSC's. Couple more things 1. Don't ever give up quitting, it will happen when least expect it. 2. I joined just about two months ago and I felt that I wanted to quit but wasn't sure if I was ready. I did start with the Chantix but I still thought about smoking everyday. About a week ago, I relapsed. I don't smoke as much as I used to but I am still on about three to five a day. Since I have started back up I feel that I fell back into the hole. I believe I started due to the amount of stree in my life. I still want to quit but I am just scared and not sure. I come on here all the time to read posts but they only help so much. I am going to start the Chantix again, and this time stick with it. I hope to be able to be smoke free again soon. I have so much enjoyed the extra time with family and friends that do not smoke, and I have enjoyed my senses heightening. I am between a rock and a hard place right now and the wedge is painful. eh.. most people quit several times before quitting. Some of us just joined here on our final quits - you're doing it exactly the way you're supposed to be doing it. I'm greatful that my quit was as painful as it was because now the thought of smoking again scares the living crap out of me!!
