It gets easier Mary...don't give in to the nicodemon. It's great on how you're doing, although I know it can be a little rough. Hang in there and hope to hear from you soon. Great job on making the decision to quit! Allen Carr has some amazing books and I'm sure hearing an actual live voice will be of greater help in recognizing that you really don't need to smoke to enjoy life! One day at a time, you can do this. I struggled at first too but was determined not to let the nic demon bring me down. It's been over a month now, and I can't tell you how rewarding it is to feel the benefits of quitting smoking. Come here often, read, post and reward yourself! This site is amazing for support, encouragement and motivation. Gum is great, I went through 6 full size packs in the first month, make sure you have lots of healthy snacks and cold water on hand for when those cravings hit. Remember you can do this! Keep the Quit! Mary, Congrats!!! You are right, everyday gets a little better. It was so hard for me to believe in the beginning.... Allen Carr does have a great book. I spent the first few weeks reading everything I could about how bad nicotine is for your body. Good luck, you can do this!!
