A Really Great Dream to Share

Wow. That is by far the coolest smoking dream I have heard of. It's like you were working out a bunch of emotional stuff while you slept and woke up reconciled! You are right, a month is just around the bend - that's awesome. You've truly got success written all over you moss. Cheers! Cigarettes Not Smoked

16 years ago 0 649 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I was standing in my driveway at night. I went outside to get some air and clear my head. My Dad ( he passed away 10 years ago )is standing next to me all of the sudden and suggests a ride in the car. We wind up going to a club in a college town about 3 hours from where I live. There is a good band and we take a table and dad orders us a drink and pulls out a pack of cigs. I tell him I quit but he says I can smoke all I want because this is just a dream. So we both smoke away and it is the best tasting smoke I've ever had. Honey Flavored???. We have a great time and it seems to last forever. Later on back in our hometown he drops me off at my Grandparents house. I want to go inside to see what the house looks like since they've both passed away. As I am peeking in the door out they walk. Hey Moss, How are you? I heard you quit smoking, follow me. Grandpa takes me to the garage and pulls out an old rusty coffee can from behind a shelf. There are a couple coins in it. He says he's been watching me since I have been thinking about quitting the smokes and he started my reward jar for me. He tells me all about what his heaven is like and that some people smoke there but not too many. I end up back in my driveway with my dad and grandpa and grandma. Dad says if it ever gets too bad just give him a call and we can go back to the club and smoke all we want. Just don't smoke when I am awake. My Grandpa says he doesn't smoke in his heaven but he will add to my jar from time to time. Grandma never said a word but the look she gave me was that she was very proud and that she understood the struggle. I could go on about the cool details but that was the bulk of it. That dream was about a week ago and was the 5th night in a row that I dreamed about smoking. The first 4 nights the dreams were of the bad variety and I woke up feeling guilty and creepy. One morning I swear I smelled like cigs. I'm still not sure if this dream was a "good" one but It seems to have helped strengthen my resolve. Since that night I have not had any more smoking dreams. I know there are hundreds of posts about dreams here but I wanted to share this one. Getting close to a month - WOW Gratitude and Keep the Quit Moss My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 360 Amount Saved: $63.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 1 Mins: 22 Seconds: 14
