A Really Great Dream to Share

moss wow, that is a dream and a half...As I am sure you know there are alot of lines between the lines that (if it where my dream, I would follow to conclusion)...But I can see that you are following a bit of the same path that I too have been walking...This is not so for all, but for me quitting has been a retuning of sorts to the past...A homeward journey with all that that implies...To me this is a second chance to correct an ill informed decision and to go forward with a stronger sense of the past that will give us courage to move into a better future...Keep up the great work, the goal is worth the effort, and the effort will eventually make a difference in the future that you choose... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 355 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,650 Amount Saved: $3,727.50 Life Gained: Days: 64 Hrs: 18 Mins: 50 Seconds: 19

Moss, I love that dream. Awesome validation of your quick and your success, and that they are watching over you and cheering you on. I had a dream like that once from my Dad right after he died, it was like he was sitting next to me talking. It was in full color and I remembered every detail. I never have color dreams and I never remember them. I think he came because I was crying and screaming bloody murder because he died and he came to shut me up :D xo Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 225 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,250 Amount Saved: $393.75 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 10 Mins: 26 Seconds: 33

very interesting. They told me dreams were a way of working out problems in your subconsious mind. Maybe so. Thank you so much for sharing your dream with us. How special is that? Please print it out and save it. Most people freak out when they have a smoking dream; you have shared with us that they are not all bad. What better place to smoke than in a dream. What a wonderful relationship you must have shared with your father and grandparents. Here is a suggestion - that rusty tin your grandfather is putting savings in. Why don't you put some of your saving into a coffee can and hide it in your garage. When you put some of your saving in the the coffee can you can remember your grandfather. Then one day take that savings and buy something really special. We all have dreams, whether they are from patches, drugs or just life, they are dreams. You were blessed with a wonderful one. Hey Moss, Whether the chantix was a security blanket or a true chemical aid, the important thing is that it worked for you. I know it was a tremendous help for me. And honestly the results far outweighed the side effects. I have to admit, I kind of miss the vivid dreams :gasp: Grin :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 145 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,350 Amount Saved: $696.00 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 13 Mins: 26 Seconds: 54

Hi Grin, Yes, I took Chantix for about 1 month. Less than the recommended dose but i had some in my system. I think I stopped taking it the day before that dream. I have always had very vivid dreams but this one was very unique. I wonder what the first month would have brought without taking chantix. I think it helped me a great deal. I haven't noticed any big differences by stopping yet. I've taken a 1/2 dose a few times this last week but I don't know if it is helpful or not. More of a mental security blanket, I think. Thanks for stopping by and 'Good for You on #145' Moss My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 360 Amount Saved: $63.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 1 Mins: 38 Seconds: 35

Moss, Was that a chantix dream? It was so detailed and I am sure, full of symbolisms. Sounds like your Dad and Grandparents are pulling for you to stay quit. You are doing great!! Almost a month, that is huge!! :) Grin My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 145 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,350 Amount Saved: $696.00 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 13 Mins: 22 Seconds: 19
