Dec. 11/07 - 2nd Day

Starting my Day 3 now and coasting not too bad. But one thing is bothering me...my breath is laboured for some reason. I find myself breathing extra heavy. I'm a bit concerned about it because I never had that before. Maybe it will pass. Outside of that I'm doing OK. I hope everybody else is too. I used to smoke in the car too, Alphabet, but I don't drive any more so I don't worry about it. When I do get in a car I don't think of smoking at all, except when I smell it in the car and I find it offensive. Well, off to my appointment in a little while. Take care everybody. hey Ginette, whatever works, that is what you do!! AJ - I smoked in my car also, I had a certain number I would smoke coming and going to work, that I would light at certain spots. ;p Music really helped me. Nickleback - their latest CD, and I would play it loud and everytime I got in the car. It really seemed to help. Go AlphabetJ and Ginette! It always helps to have the helping hand of another quitter. Glad your list is helping Ginette - funny how there's very little to write on the pro side of a "Why I want to smoke" list right? AlphabetJ, this is the best gift you could ever give your children - the gift of time spent with you and the gift of your good health. Now, you've already done four trips without smoking so your brain is starting to make new pathways - soon, you won't even think of smoking while driving ... you'll see other people smoking and maybe even feel sorry for them! Good luck you two. Stay strong. Thank you guys! I sure am glad I got on here before I left my computer for the drive home from work. (Driving to and from work is two of the main times I used to like to smoke) So in a few minutes I will begin my 4th commute as a non-smoker! My hubby gave me a rubber ball last night during a crave that fits my hand very well. So I roll it around and squeeze it while I am driving, and thats my plan. When I get home I will try to log on later! Ginette, Alpha, both of you are doing great. Hang on to every smoke free hour you have and they will just keep adding up. It is good to be smoke free. Goofy you are being a good roll model.
