Boring

I am curious, what is this "stoup"? I made STEW (because it was) for my family the other day and my hubby joked that it was more like soup and called it "Stoup"! Just though I'd offer that one up. I am thinking that if it the same that maaaaaaybe, there really IS more than just soup and stew. Maaaaaybe there IS something in between! If the "stoup" you guys mentioned in this thread is something completely different, please forgive my butt in here... :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/10/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 30 Amount Saved: $6.75 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 27 Seconds: 31

Hey Bear, I love cooking, if you really want to try something cool maybe go to an Asian market. Sometimes I like trying different variations to boring foods as well. Did you know that a shot of Balsamic Vinegar a shot of red wine and a 1/2 shot of Olive Oil in a tomato sauce make it both flavorful without the acidity. Bear Cooking and eating become boring at times. I like the change of seasons because my cooking changes with them. After reading about your soup I would not volunteer to cook for the landlady rather make some suggestions of some different things. Hang in there Bear and please use finess when giving her suggestions I don't want to lose you :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 258 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,740 Amount Saved: $2,515.50 Life Gained: Days: 36 Hrs: 11 Mins: 25 Seconds: 14

Poor Bear, I know what you're going through. Right now I don't have an appetite and things don't mean anything to me in the taste department. But I'm sure it will pass as it will for you. Just eat though whatever you do. Bear- I just read about your "stoup". It sounds like you need more practice before you start cooking for the landlady! Getting evicted for poisoning her might be the trigger that would get you smoking again. Please, please do not cook for her, yet! Of course we do, Bear. But, I agree with Danielle & Lynne. If you aren't doing the cooking, there is no room for b!tching. Maybe make a deal with your landlady where you cook once or twice a week. Or maybe get her to try some of Greger's recipe's. Bear, I think everybody does. Maybe you could offer to cook one night and spice up the menu? Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

Certainly not Bear! My meals are always interesting and delicious as they are cooked by my wife. Since I quit smoking and discovered this site I have spent a lot of time here.I'm sure there are a lot of people that think I'm a pain in the a-- and thats just fine because probably I am.But you have become my extended family when you stumble and fall I stumble and fall, when you are successful I rejoice in your success why it's gotten so bad the other day I was *****ing to my landlady about the fact that the meals that she provides are boring ( I pay r&b here). She said it was all in my head and that I should ask my friends on SSC :)so I'm asking already do you ever get bored with what you eat :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 259 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,662 Amount Saved: $2,590.00 Life Gained: Days: 59 Hrs: 3 Mins: 22 Seconds: 38
