Gin, Great job in handling a stressfull situation and not smoking. Believe it or not....not too far down the road.... you will smell a smoker and instead of it being a trigger...it will disgust you and help you stay quit. All you got to do is hang in there to see I'm telling you the truth. Mercy Again....awesome job My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 316 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,320 Amount Saved: $1,412.52 Life Gained: Days: 41 Hrs: 13 Mins: 29 Seconds: 56

Good job Gin. Pretty soon when you smell someone who has smoked it will make you grateful that you don't have to smell like that anymore. You hang in there I know you (we) can do this. Way to go Gin! Sorry to hear about your arm. I replied in your 'Bump on the Road to Recovery' thread about how to download the workbook. It is such a helpful tool, I think everyone getting ready to quit should read it. Chin up, here's to Day 2 :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1215 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 24,300 Amount Saved: $5,467.50 Life Gained: Days: 92 Hrs: 18 Mins: 34 Seconds: 15

A trigger indeed Gin! I've never heard of smoking a cigarette being a remedy for a hairline fracture of the arm :p Well done for NOT smoking! Good Luck Penitent d1294 :)

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Well almost completed Day 1. Things aren't too bad. Hanging in there. I know it's not worth one cigarette. I will accomplish more than my 10 days, I plan on being successful this time. When I slipped it didn't do anything for me. It just reminded me of how things were when I was smoking steady. Wheezing and coughing. I'm not doing that any more and it feels good. I have to admit that tonight I really wanted a cigarette. I ended up going to the hospital tonight and get my right arm checked. I took a flying leap and feel on my right arm 3 weeks ago. They took x-rays and found out I have a hairline fracture. Waiting in emergency I could smell somebody who had a smoke and it triggered me in wanting to have one. I talked myself out of it...realizing that it was a trigger and nothing else. I'm looking forward to Day 2 in my recovery.
