Hello Lainey, I've had similar experiences lately. Just like you said, not much of a challenge to deal with. It's the ridiculousness of the notion that strikes me. I just think, "Come on, get real!" Happy to be smoke free!! I have caught myself doing the same thing. LOL I ask myself now where in the heck did that come from. I don't mind those, but the ONE I had last week lasted and lasted and lasted. Those are not any fun. But look at us we are smoke free and ready to tackle the next one together :eg: Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 212 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,120 Amount Saved: $318.00 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 13 Mins: 22 Seconds: 53

You are right, blue cloud, the holidays do bring on more triggers for me also. Shopping is like Work to me...I deserve a cig after work, right? Wrong..who deserves to be poisoned, choked, slowly robbed of health, their pocketbook robbed. I have alot of cough drops and mints around. I go to bed early and read alot. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 186 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,464 Amount Saved: $930.00 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 15 Mins: 58 Seconds: 26

I'm getting there. The number of triggers are higher during the Holidays but I am noticing how much easier it is to dismiss them. Amen to that Lainey! And I still have those "out of the blue" cravings myself. No big deal... and I know what you mean about "laughing", because I've had the same response. I think it goes a little like this; the craving comes... and it tries to be mean and powerful and convincing, but it's just not. It takes me about 2 seconds to realize just how weak and pathetic the craving really is... and then I laugh, one because I'm surprised that the craving even happened, and two, because what was once a roaring lion... is now just a kitten baring it's little claws and trying to look tough. :) LOL!! Funny!!
