Sally,
Your doing great. You'll find it's not the craves but the "thoughts" that can make things difficult. The less thoughts.....the easier it is.
So... the name of the game is to control your thoughts. Most find the best way is to dismiss them (make light of them)....or fill them up with something else. Movies do work great.
Be proud.

Sally,
Keep hanging in there. You're doing fantastic. If you've gotten through the weekend, you can get through today. Keep employing those great distractions and coping strategies! Also be sure to reward yourself to keep from feeling deprived this holiday weekend.

Hang in there Sally,
you are doing just fine. Instead of acting on the urge, you are looking for other alternatives. Go girl!! Love Unhooked's analogy of the football and she is right, that junkie will pull up and leave you without any ground. you have gone 18 days Wow !! that is Great. don't give that up!! You are going to find that it is easier to be a non smoker than it is to be a smoker.
just take it one day at a time. You can do it!
go get yourself something oooyie from the fridge, frozen fruit pops worked for me. and congratulate yourself for getting thorough the holidays smoke free!!
take care!

You're doing great, Sally. Just know that the junkie will pull the football away, so don't ever trust her.
We can have lots of thoughts that we don't act on, just keep doing what you're doing & don't forget a reward for getting through the holiday smoke-free.

as charlie brown would say :) ok all you out there...thinking of you..not smoking, but dang it's hard tonight. Been celebrating the holiday and had one too many glasses of wine. Actually, been thinking of smoking all weekend, but havent given into my thoughts. I was watching a movie and decided that I had to come here for a fuel stop!
Ok, I feel better now..
take care,
love, sally
