Way to go sprquits. Glad to hear you had a good weekend. Down here in Fl. we made it with no smokes as well. Had friends visiting from Syracuse, and they don't want to go back to the cold. Let's keep it going...Sunday will be 4 weeks!!! Amazing. Hey guys! Checking in after an awesome frozen weekend in Quebec city :) Managed to celebrate quite a lot on friday night after my talk with everyone in my lab and friends. We went all out, partied, danced and drank a little too much. But the best part was... only thought of a cigarette once that whole night :) Being with my bf also makes it A LOT easier. We keep ourselves busy, and manage to do our every day life without even thinking about it. It's an awesome feeling. I'm only scared now of when he leaves and I'll try and use that as a justification to go back to it. But I'm feeling pretty strong and sure that it won't happen. Just the thought of the taste and smell makes me want to gag. I'm loving week 4 guys! Almost a month for the MusQuitteers! Bought a few clothes and furniture to celebrate too :) And spent a little too much on the spa massages but hey... I've saved up enough anyway by not smoking. Cheers! Hi, just checking in. Tomorrow will be my official one month smoke-free. Definitely easier than week 1 and 2, but still experiencing some cravings/urges, but on a more positive note, my taste and sense of smell has gotten a lot better. Congrats to all the Octobreathers who are keeping their promise not to give into this nasty habit. Hi you guys! I'm doing pretty well. I still need to take deep breaths now and then, but it isn't as hard as I thought it would be and I'm SO glad not to be tied down to that ball and chain anymore!!! It's finally getting quite chilly here in Oregon. I'm hoping for an early start to ski season! I love living here. We have hot summers, cold winters and everything in between. How are the rest of you Octos?? Any other October quitters out there who would like to join us? Strength in numbers! Take care, and get well soon guys. Hey Octos Blah week here plus I've been sick for the last week. Winter has hit here in Pa too. The kids had a snow day yesterday and all three ended up grounded by the end of the day.(praying for no more snow days) Mrs Stan is from Florida and reminds me every year, if we move we could avoid snow days. Hang in there!! Well, the blahs have struck! I've gotten my first cold since i moved to Florida 8 years ago. I don't think I felt this bad when I got a cold in Syracuse. All I want to do is get home and climb into bed. I just had some chicken soup for lunch, and I feel worse. I know that it'll be no trouble to not smoke for a while. The rest of my family had colds until last week, so I thought it go by me. Should be an interesting Thanksgiving. Hope sprquits is hanging tough, I was going to ask how she made out this weekend. Wrong terminology, huh? Take care guys. Week three is called 'Bla week'?! Oh, well that makes perfect sense...thank you Danielle. I am feeling a little 'bla' again today. Looking forward to next week when things should brighten up. Maybe this is why most of the Octobreathers aren't around. Maybe they are hiding in their misery......if this is true, cheer up guys. Apparently it gets better. Right Goofy? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 264 Amount Saved: $89.76 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 18 Mins: 52 Seconds: 52

Octobreathers, Time to check in! FYI - The third week is also known as "blah" week. A week marked primarily ruled by psychological withdrawal symptoms. Be sure to keep your guard up and have plenty of rewards planned to keep your mood up. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Still going strong! I was wondering what happened to you as well OMT. This weekend we had a visit from some friends from Syracuse. We lived there for seven years, and we averaged 182 inches of snow a year. They told us it was snowing when they left. Bummer. I'm planning on golfing again this weekend. I believe it's only going to be in the low 80's. I wish that could be my golf score. Smoking never entered my mind this weekend, but my wife kept telling me she misses it. I keep reminding her how much money we're saving. Well have a great day. NOPE.
