Bear did you post this for me? I'm going to check out that site. We should all realize also that some of us are going through our first holiday season. Lot's of stress and emotion (good and bad) could heighten the emotional growth pains, just a thought. Congratulations Bear on 8 months. Been hiking a lot the past week looking for a partying bear, no luck Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 308 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,160 Amount Saved: $862.40 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 0 Mins: 2 Seconds: 8

Thanks Bear I am going to do that search. I have found that this journey is really starting to hit hard. I find I feel more cry more and hurt more but I wouldn't give it up for anything. These emotions are what we are meant to feel without the nicotine covering it up. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 243 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,290 Amount Saved: $2,369.25 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 8 Mins: 39 Seconds: 56

For me it has been a real battle, and i was never able to get really off guard for any length of time, i know it sounds crazy but even after 5 years i could never have even just one cigarette, NOT ONE because i know it wouldent be enough, i envy those who can put em down and just forget all about them, And thats my truth Tresa My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/8/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1927 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 38,540 Amount Saved: $6,744.50 Life Gained: Days: 271 Hrs: 17 Mins: 43 Seconds: 58

Bear Thanks for you post...This was a part of the quitting process that I never imagined prior to putting away the squares. I used to think of smoking as a one dimentional act. To stop all you had to do was cease the act. Well as anyone who has ridden this road for any period of time knows, that is a false supposition. We smoked for a reason (at least I did)...Most of it was for me was to combat my own particular variety of fear, self doubt and the like. I know now that I have always been a candidate for one addiction or another. That knowledge in itself forms a basis for making things better. I feel so bad for people as they begin to quit instantly finding themselves in an emotional hailstorm. The good news is that you can grow yourself out of this, but it takes time. Sadly a great many people give up early. Thank you for your post... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 327 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,810 Amount Saved: $3,433.50 Life Gained: Days: 59 Hrs: 17 Mins: 12 Seconds: 3

The relationship between smoking, masking and personal growth start to reveal themselves.I'll spare you the gory details as they pertain to me but I think if you stay with this non smoking long enough they 'll reveal themselves to you too.As for me the process is just starting after 242 days of not using nicotine ( well hell I did smoke for 50 + years so that ain't bad :))I also found the enneagraminstitute online if you would like some help with you own personal journey. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 242 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,356 Amount Saved: $2,420.00 Life Gained: Days: 55 Hrs: 6 Mins: 22 Seconds: 27
