What a fantastic idea!! I was planning as a reward, when I hit $100.00, to go spend it on a snazzy pair of black boots. But this past week-end, when I was going to repaint my nails, I noticed how pretty and white they were already getting to be, so I made them clear coated instead of color!! Way to go, everyone!! OMT you are so inspiring! We are almost at day 10... I think if I can finish my talk today I'll follow your suggestion and spend a nice evening tomorrow pampering myself too :) If not... I'll just take those 5 minutes and put them to good use like you did. Stay strong buddy! Good for you, One More Try! You deserve it! I've found that those white strips actually work pretty well at making my teeth nice and white again. Congrats on 20 days cat!! One more try, It could be... 25 cigarettes/day x 5 minutes/cigarette = 125 minutes spent slowly killing yourself everyday! 16 hrs a week 64 hrs a month 768 hrs a year Yikes! Makes you think, doesn't it? Glad to see your putting your 125 minutes to good use :) Thanks for sharing! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Hi! My first week reward was a manicure- and fake nails. To have beautiful, white (not yellow) nails and so that my fingers felt diferent than they did when I smoked. AND it kept me (or better: the nail specialist) occupied for an hour. And yes, we gain SOOO much time by not smoking... Even if that is not quite true, because we do need breaks- but painting your nails is a break, too!! This week, week 3, I go to the dentists to have him clean my teeth (especiallt at the bck, they are so disgustingly brown...) take care, Cat My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/17/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 340 Amount Saved: 78.20 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 13 Mins: 40 Seconds: 25

I am the person who always said I don't have time for things, such as painting my fingernails. Well, I just finished my lunch and found some nail polish in my bag that I had recently purchased for Halloween. I decided to paint my fingernails during my lunch-break before coming back to work. And guess what? It took less time than it would have to smoke a cigarette. Hhmmmm......did I really not have enough time, or was I too busy smoking? It feels great to be doing things that are more flattering than yellowing my fingernails, teeth, skin, etc...
