WOW! You really made me think! I've been hoarding everything. Ashtray (for guests), lighters (for candles), cigarette holder and leather box (were presents: one from a colleague, the other from a loved person). And i actually believed my excuses.... Way to go!!!! (though I still won't throw out the leather box...to many memories- maybe if I store it somewhere safe?) Great decision, Stan! cat My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/17/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 323 Amount Saved: 74.29 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 11 Mins: 46 Seconds: 1

Stan, Good for you for making it so final. Getting rid of all old smoking paraphenilia helps with your trigger and cravings. Work through the program too, it will give you some great tips and provide support and education for you through your quit. Brenna Bilingual Health Educator

Hi Stan, The thing about quitting is all about you. You decide what you want. It is your quit to do as you feel comfortable doing. It was hard for me to stick to my decision because the addiction was talking to me loud and clear. Once the addiction begins to wear thin ( and that takes some time) you will see things alot clearer. You are doing great. the first days are the hard ones. Right on stan! One of my favorite things about quitting is the freedom. All the worries, and things that go along with smoking - the ashtrays, the lighters, matches, the loose tobacco that finds its way everywhere. You've taken the next step and one that puts you that closer to freedom! Congrats on those 4 Days. Today, On my forth day I know I never want to smoke again. So I took the next step in my quit and trew out my outside ashtray. That old rusty coffee can is gone. For good this time. I know I should have thrown it out on day one, but I kept it just incase things didn't work out. It's out of here!
