OCTOBER QUITTERS UNITE!

Hi Stan! You are doing great! Almost through hell week! I know what you mean about school functions and things. A couple of the people that I told about my quit said " I didn't know you smoked". Even my very good friends daughter, who stayed with us for a week last summer, never noticed I was smoking about a pack a day. It sure is nice not to have to worry about stuff like that anymore, and I'm sure your kids are proud of you, like mine are! Hey Octos, glad to see everyone is doing fine. It's funny how we all had the same problems. At school functions I would first go roll down the van windows before we left. Then no smoking on the way there. As I walk in the door it would be cherry Halls cough drop for the breath. Another good one was hidding the butt can on the front porch from other parents dropping off their children. no smokers live here, you may safly leave your children here. LOL I think Octobreathers is a great name and so would be even better. Octobreathers!!! I guess it's unanimous. Good imagination Jodi. Now I think I'm going to have to try to write a song. Never did that before, but I'm inspired. Fisherman's friend worked best. And I hated the taste, too... Gum was ol, but the effects did't last as long. Thank goodness we've made it this far!!!! I know what you mean about the breath, Cat. I felt like I should buy stock in peppermint Altoids. hehe Octobreathers! That sounds pretty cool :) I vote for that! Cat you seem to be doing so great! One of the first positives I noticed was my skin as well. I had noticed that when I had gone back to smoking I started getting pimples and dry skin on my forehead and a few days after quitting I can already notice a difference! Yay for healthy looking skin! Be strong girl! Mine are VERY snug.... But my skin is doing great!!! And I am so glad to be able to speak into my colleagues ears during meetings without trying to direct my breath away from their nose so that they won't be disgusted by the smell!!! Hi Eddie! Congrats on 2 weeks of being smoke-free!!! OMT - I should have recognized the dog in the back. I have a yellow lab with darker ears like that, her name is Roxy. How's it going Stan? Have you thought of a cool name for us? How about The Octobreathers? IDK - kind of dumb. I'm doing pretty well. My jeans are stating to feel a bit snug. Oh well, I'll work on that later. Have a great day all! N.O.P.E.
