happy to celebrate day 5

Your most welcome...and Thank you! Yeah, my first few days it was the evenings that were hardest for me. Before the quit I was either at the keyboard playing some music, or sitting at the computer. Either way I had a lit cigarette at ALL times. 45 days in and I'm SSOOOO happy that I don't smoke anymore! I can't even imagine myself smoking now. It would just feel wrong. {If that makes any sense.} Oh I still get a little crave now and then, but it's really nothing. And it's not even a crave from nicotine. It's the habit of reaching for a smoke during a certain action. A "trigger." I just laugh and go on. Stay the quit! I can tell you it gets easier as you go. That confident feeling your now getting will grow, and with it comes more inner strength. YAHOO!! It's uphill from here! Aww thanks so much for the support guys! I does help a lot to know there are people out there who know how it feels and who can help one through it with very kind words. I'm still not sure what I'll do Genevieve. I'm thinking I'll try to take the day off completely even though I have a big presentation to prepare for next friday. I think sunday I'll just take the day off and spend it at home pampering myself. I'll wake up late, have a nice breakfast/brunch and talk to my boy all day. Do some yoga, but stay in my pjs all day :P That always feels good ;). Especially when it's cold outside. I think I am already feeling that confident feeling you talked about. Someone just asked me after lunch if I wanted to go out for a smoke and I was so proud to let them know I was not interested! And I didn't even think twice about it :D yay! Feels good to be strong! Thanks again guys :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60 Amount Saved: $19.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 44 Seconds: 6

You're doing really well. Just ride each different wave as it comes along. That feeling of excitement may seem to have faded but soon you will get a more mature, confident feeling of accomplishment which will carry you through. What are you planning for your one week celebration?
