I was actually having a decent day up until around 7:30. I then had a moment of anxiety that threw me off my game. It was right after the Cowboys lost their game. I was working and then I got panicky. I then got up and went to the store for a breather. I took an extra 1/4 valium. I am whomped right now, but still working. LOL. Hope you're feeling better. I think I need to get with my doctor tomorrow to see what needs to be done. I don't like these too-often panic feelings. But I have known them for years. Feel free to add anything to this. Take care, David

Hey Wrestler, IBS is short for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, In my case, I get SEVERE lower abdominal cramps and nausea, then diaharea(sp?). It feels like someone loops a rope around your abdomen, then plays tug-of-war. Not pleasant at all! I did take an extra .5mg of Xanax this morning, and it has helped quite a bit. In fact, I just got back from a 10 mile drive with my wife, and feel a whole lot better. Hope this helps explain a little better.

Hi. What's an IBS attack? My anxiety symptoms usually occur when I start day dreaming. I was a HUGE day dramer as a child so that's probably where this started. I love when I am not in cycles and can day dream only about good stuff. I need to work on that. Any advice ho to turn it all into good stuff? There are many times when I can do this, but I am sure you know when you're in a cycle it's difficult to break it. My exercise schedule it one way an I contonuously go to the gym. I've been a fitness lover since I was 14. Well, time for a snack and then go back to sleep. Too early to be awake on a Sunday. Hope you're both feeling better. David

Ashley and Wrestler, I'm having one of those "bad" days today. I was somewhat anxious yesterday, then late afternoon I had an IBS attack, which kept me up most of the night, and has me panicing BIG TIME today. I know it will eventually pass, but boy, it's rough when it happens! Hope you feel better today Ashley, good luck!!

I had a morning similar to that today, but without voices. My mind gets into a mode to where i races and I get all kinds of crazy thoughts about world problems, my problems, death, destruction, having paic attacks. It all builds up and then I need to do something. So, I went outside from my job and sat on the curb and meditated for a few minutes. Just closed my eyes and counted to 60, then 30, then just relaxed and drank some water and then went back inside. I did have to take 1/2 a valium in the meantime. I then took a 1/2 a valium before I went to my main job just as a precaution. This is all just to let you know you're no alone. I must add that I added in a serious 30 minute cardio workout today and a nice chat ith my friend Reagan about music. That helped to get my mind off my anxiety. I find when I can keep my mind off simple anxiety and stay busy, then I am fine, but work situations sometimes breed mind wandering for me. The trick is to learn how to stop it before it gets away.
