Hey Sandra!!!!! How you doing? luna says a big "Hi" back atcha!! Day 1259 was a "bit dicey" but those coping tools really served me well and I'm happy to say that I got through it ok and I'm here to tell the tale!! You'll have to let me know how you get on, it's only 76 days away!!! Looks like we are sharing hobbies right now - I'll let you know if I have any success! Well, you'll see it anyway, if I do!!! All The Best, Pen :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1262 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25,240 Amount Saved: 6,310.00 Life Gained: Days: 202 Hrs: 16 Mins: 18 Seconds: 29

I'm not a baseball fan but I do like winners! Glad to see you back Pen and say hello to lovely luna if you would. I'm relieved you made it passed Day 1259 without incident ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1182 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,640 Amount Saved: $5,319.00 Life Gained: Days: 90 Hrs: 5 Mins: 57 Seconds: 50

p.s. I knew there was something I wanted to say. I thought of you in Spain when we talked of the men in pokey hats at fiestas. You know the ones? Well, Pen, it was/is a great analogy and you and luna have quite the accomplishment to be proud of. I imagine being you and making that same analogy myself, realizing my own freedom and my victory over such an awful addiction. Expect to see this thread again next year with my reflections of winning over smoking ...and baseball. ;p All the best to you and luna (but not the patriots, k?) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 66 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,980 Amount Saved: $386.10 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 22 Mins: 23 Seconds: 6

Oh Kelly, now I feel bad for you! The Rockies are in their relative infancy. They have a great roster and their day will come. Be proud of a wonderful season and know that your play in the World Series after Game 1 could only be eclipsed by the Sox playing consistently at the very top of their game. You pushed us all the way and we know we were in a game! Perhaps, more importantly than that , draw your own no smoking analogy with the efforts of the Rockies and in the years ahead when they win the World Series, be there to greet them as a non-smoking winner yourself! All the Best Kelly You Rock (ies)!! Oh, Penitent... When you state it like that I can't help but be happy for you... I guess I'm even kinda happy for the Sox ...but not so much, really :| Thanks for your sympathies, Aloha :) Maybe if I don't smoke for the entire year the Rockies will win it all next year! Yeah, I'll stick with that. (The Broncos just lost Monday night football...It's been a rough week for us here in the mile-high city) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 65 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,950 Amount Saved: $380.25 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 21 Mins: 14 Seconds: 7

Our best wishes for your continued success in the quitting world. Perhaps Pete and I can fully understand the magnitude of a couple quitting together and the hazzards that can occur. Your leadership (and Lady Luna) are indeed an inspiration to the many new people to the site and we commend you.
