Lady, you know that your life is richer in so many ways since you quit. You've told me often about how so many areas of your life have improved, and you don't think they would have if you were still smoking.
You would not have had the confidence to go for the new job you're finding such a satisfying challenge, you would not have taken up golf & you love golf, you would not be as healthy in body & spirit and in turn you would not enjoy life as much as you do. You might not even have the wonderful relationship with a certain non-smoking someone whose name I won't mention but it rhymes with Shmicky.
Lady, you have had quite a whirlwind going on around you lately, really a lot to deal with. Even positive changes can wear us out & that's all that's happening. The junkie in your head is always on the lookout for that & she's just squeezed in through that tiny, tired little chink in your armour.
You know what to do, my friend. Get a reward, even a small one. Take a nice, long bath with candles & a cup of tea & reflect on your triumphant climb to the top of the mountain. Appreciate all the people who helped you & be proud of those you helped in return.
You're not giving up your quit, Lady. You're not giving up on yourself, this too shall pass.
You know where I am if you need me.
