Chilly Changes

The employees where I work stand outside the door to smoke. It really reeks when you walk up to the door. They smoke at all the picnic tables and it makes the non smokers made that they have no where to go to escape it. They have just finished a smoking shelter down the side of the building. It will be quite a walk in the snow. I can't help but wonder if they thought of how they would clear the snow going to the little shelter. If they don't clear the snow I bet the smokers will trudge through it anway to have a smoke. mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 276 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,520 Amount Saved: $1,233.72 Life Gained: Days: 36 Hrs: 7 Mins: 7 Seconds: 36

I actually saw my neighbor bringing in the garbage cans, in the rain, smoking a cigarette. Now that is dedication to addiction! :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 289 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,335 Amount Saved: $1,213.80 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 19 Mins: 23 Seconds: 7

Blue Cloud, I hate the coming of Winter as I love being in the garden and sunshine in general. I wish I could hibernate, but Mrs Ed insists that I am a working horse!! Looking forward to the end of December, when the days start getting longer again! To all you in the Southern hemisphere, the opposite is true, but I'm sure you understand! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 618 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 18,540 Amount Saved: 4,635.00 Life Gained: Days: 99 Hrs: 7 Mins: 58 Seconds: 57

Isn't it wonderful blue cloud? At work I look outside at all the smokers shivering, complaining cause it is getting colder out and I am so happy I have quit! Funny thing is, I have been sick for the past couple of days with a head cold and I have had some strong cravings for a smoke. Strange! lol I guess it's because it's a new "first" for me being a non-smoker. We will be nice and cozy this winter since we don't have to go outside and freeze our a**es off while having a puff! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 53 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 795 Amount Saved: $477.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 8 Mins: 34 Seconds: 37

Thanks for all the inspiration you provide, too, BC! I will be very happy to not be standing outside in the snow and wind and miserable cold for the next 6 months, too. Idrove home in the rain and the temperature here is about 20 degree lower than when I left Dallas,so I am wanting to curl up like a bear and kick back.LOL As the seasons change and the weather gets cooler, I am noticing people standing outside, shivering, shacking and smoking. I am so glad that is not me. The people who make up this site have no idea how much they have contributed to me being able to stay quit. I just want to say thanks to you all.BLUE CLOUD My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 112 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,240 Amount Saved: $448.00 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 22 Mins: 14 Seconds: 4
