Jodi So sorry about today...but the good news is you never have to go passed that trigger again..(your mom).. Your husband will have to answer only to himself.. I never just wanted one cig.... I wanted a pack a day , 7 days a week.. Good Luck and keep posting & reading. Everyday gets easier.. Hello again! It's getting better. When I went to visit my mom, she had forgotten that I quit, and she lit up right in front of me. I started to feel a tension headache come on immediately. She put it out and I went outside for a few minutes. My husband had trouble today. He went to work at the construction sight and ended up bumming a smoke from someone. He didn't tell me how many he had. Keeping my eye on the prize! Seven days is so awesome, you are on your way to becoming a non-smoker. I quit first and then my husband. We just returned from a holiday together where we were continually around smokers and I am proud to say we both never budged. We are still not smoking. I love the fact that he quit has quit. He is my biggest support system and I am his. Hang tight together it will turn out to be the best thing the two of you ever did!!!! Thanks everyone, for all of the encouragement. Today is my 8th smoke free day and I will be tested. I'm going to visit my mom who is a smoker. I doubt she will smoke in front of me, but I'm sure her house will smell like smoke. Today is my husbands quit day. He is on Chantix too. I am a little worried about him. I hope he can make it through hell week.
