Welcome to SSC Jodi! You're about to have the first and ugliest week behind you. Once you get through hell week it's just hard work and uphill all the way :) You've come this far though so you might as well keep at it just to see how much easier it gets as you go along. Hi there! After about 25 years of smoking (partly in the closet)I'm on my 7th day without a cigarette! Thank goodness for Chantix. I've never made it this far before. I think about smoking a lot. It was a big (gross) part of my life. I'm doing good although I feel a little shaky, I am napping a lot and I'm eating like a pig! I've been on Chantix for 6 weeks. It took me 5 weeks to get the courage up to actually set a quit day. The dreams don't bother me too much except for a couple of bad ones. My biggest problem with Chantix is gross gas! Last night I went bowling with friends and as soon as I walked in I could smell the smoke from the bar leaking into the bowling alley. The hardest part for me is in the evening when I'm relaxing. I'm looking forward to being healthier, living longer, making my kids proud, looking and smelling better, saving money, not being embarased about smoking, and not having to worry about where and when I can smoke. Thanks for reading my story. Good luck to all!
