Thursday Night Bonfire!!!

17 years ago 0 1148 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I'm late but I made it. Sweater weather is the best time for a bonfire. It sure is nice and peaceful here. I don't have much to throw in; this week has been pretty good. I'll drop in some disappointment and disillusionment. I needed both of those while I transitioned and Im glad to say I dont need them anymore. Theyve gone the way of the dodo and cigarettes. They voted off Crazy Dave last night. He was a jerk but he kept things interesting. Ill put a couple logs on the firethere. That will keep it going for a while. Later! Hey, everybody! It is a quiet night, that's a good sign I think. I forgot to throw in my extra pounds (I hear ya Lori, I hate it too), but I also have over 3000 unsmoked cigarettes to throw in & that's makes it worth it! Kelly, you are doing great, you really are. Just keep it up. Tam, isn't corporate life great? Take a whole friggin day to do a bunch of lame-ass activities with people you hardly know & wouldn't like if you did, all in the name of improving productivity while your phone at the office rings off the hook with clients who can't reach you. Yeah, real brainwave. I guess I didn't throw ALL the teambuilding in earlier. OK, there it goes! Whew, that's better! Hope everybody got a drink & a snack you all feel better. Hey Lori, chuck all that worry in to the fire, because soon you're going to be feeling great! I am throwing in more work stress, need to chuck one of my bosses in there, he really he an a$$! Of course I will have a smore, (these have no calories Lori, they're virtual!) Quiet night tonite! I can't stay to long though, Thursday nites are my nite for the remote! (And Grey's anatomy is on) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 220 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,500 Amount Saved: $2,321.00 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 22 Mins: 47 Seconds: 35

Hey guys! I have a few (and a few more) extra pounds, stupid people, hyper-sensitivity (mine and others), political correctness and the notion that everyone has to be satisfied all of the time for the fire. I also have a little bit of the blahs and some self pity. What can I say, It's been a busy week. Whew! Time for a beer! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,410 Amount Saved: $274.95 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 6 Mins: 31 Seconds: 37

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

17 years ago 0 105 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi everybody -- No s'mores for me as my pants have been feeling a little snug the last few days. I can't tell you how much I HATE having to deal with any extra pounds along with the struggle involved in not smoking. I've been working out and haven't gone crazy with food so it's frustrating and feels unfair! (how's that for whining) My 2nd non-smoking week has been surprisingly more difficult than the 1st. There have been a few craves that have really knocked me up side the head. And the worst craves have been in the morning - I've been "missing" having my smokes on the way into work. I'm still early in the quit, so mostly I feel like I'll never feel good ever again. So that's my vent to add to the Thursday night bonfire. Hey, everybody! It's bonfire time! I got it started with "team building" days, stupid stupid boys, and a little bit of feeling sorry for myself. I NEVER do that, so I'm especially glad to heave that one onto the fire! We have hot dogs & s'mores as usual, & maybe Greger will show up with a special treat? For any newbies, the bonfire is where we get together & throw all of our frustrations, problems, junkie thoughts, etc that we saved up during the week, into the fire. It's always fun & very cathartic. I can't hang around long but I'll check in later. Burn, baby, burn!
