Woo HOO Xena!!! 3 days of not smoking, GOOD for YOU! Yes Id say it is common to be tired, it seems to happen to a lot of us in the early quit. Smoking can be a stimulant, take the false energy away and the body feels like it wants to crash and burn, but ride it out Xena, get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water to flush those toxins out of your body and this unpleasant symptom will pass. Just one word of caution, easy on the candy If I could say I did one thing wrong in my early quit it would be the eating of candy, and extra sugar in my diet. Like you I was tired, I had a family and a busy lifestyle, my body craved sugar for energy, not a good thing, so try to munch on carrot sticks, fruit and healthy choices not empty calories. Youre doing great, continue taking it one day at a time! Alright, Xena! You're doing it. I'm so glad to see you. Happy Thanksgiving. Yes it is normal to be tired. I slept ALOT for the first couple of weeks. Meaning it is serious business and the concentration can wear you out. It's ok though. It's a good tired. Be easy on yourself. Don't forget that ice water. And Just Don't Smoke. You're going to make it. Congratulations on 3 days, Xena. It's good to see you this far along. hugs, Melanie My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/30/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1896 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 75,840 Amount Saved: $17,064.00 Life Gained: Days: 267 Hrs: 10 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Xena, YEA!!!!!! 3 days down... I love seeing my meter increase!! Yes, feeling tired is and was part of the quit process. I suggest that when you're tired, just REST!!! I know it is hard for most of us to stop and slow down and maybe even rest......... But it is okay to be good to ourselves!!! We deserve it!!! Good luck My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 880 Amount Saved: $132.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 18 Mins: 7 Seconds: 17

Way to go, Xena. Yes, it's normal to be tired. It's also normal to scream, cry & swear. If you're tired, rest, and don't forget to reward yourself for getting through the first, hardest, days, with so much going on around you. Thank you all for the great advice. I'm still here, still smoke free.I've been exhausted and fell asleep at 9 last night and cooked a turkey and had family over today. But I made it. I don't feel like crying anymore... just want to swear and scream! AGGGHHHHHH!!! I'm also tired and every muscle in my body aches. Good news is my tongue is already pink(as opposed to black) Not so great is that i ate a big pack of jelly beans (and turkey and pie!) I'm happy I quit. Thank you for being here for me. Is it normal to feel tired? Can't remember it happening last time.
