It sounds like he gave you so much joy and happiness, I am sure you did the same for him. He had a good life. I know you will miss him.
I had to say goodbye to my beloved Maltese of 13+ yrs. I also had to look into his eyes and know that it would be the last time. My heart breaks everytime I hear of people losing their pets (special members of the family). When I lost my dog, I was still smoking and I smoked like a chimney that night. You know what? it did not bring him back, and it did not make me feel any better. so good for you for staying strong. It was a tough day for you. Know that you have friends here that care and understand.
