I did not cave. I am still smoke free.
My kitty's name is Courtney. Just a few weeks ago I painted his portrait. I will always have that. I have four other kitties and a dog. Courtney, the oldest, was with me through one third of my life. It is not the same without him.
Mercy, you have a Katrina survivor? After the hurricane the rescued animals were sent all over the US for adoption. Our local shelter asked for pet groomers to come and volunteer to bathe and groom the animals. I went along with several others. I have never seen animals so frightened. In a strange place, with strange people, after the experience of the hurricane to lose their entire families, everyone they know and love. They lost their children! I have to tell you about animals from the pound or rescued when they are groomed. They know what's happening to them, and they know that nothing bad will happen to them. Grooming is their security. They know that they are given baths and haircuts because they are loved and wanted and now they will go home.
