Blue Coud, Whenever you need a good pat just come here and you will have so many your back will be sore. It is funny how after awhile we just kind of blend in with the others who always bugged us to quit. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 201 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,020 Amount Saved: $1,306.50 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 10 Mins: 18 Seconds: 54

It just occured to me, BC, that it is a wonderful thing that the people around you don't think about it anymore. It means that they think of you as a non-smoker! Which you are, of course, but now it's something that your friends and family are taking for granted. That's kinda cool! :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,320 Amount Saved: $257.40 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 23 Mins: 11 Seconds: 5

BlueCloud you are doing fantastic in your quit. We are so proud of you. The pats on the back stop and everyone does forget you quit smoking or that you smoked at all. That is why we still come here. Here people understand the milestones and how much they mean to us. Congratulations on a job well done and on no more embarrasing coughing! I always blamed it on sinuses. Dumb huh? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 829 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 16,580 Amount Saved: $2,901.50 Life Gained: Days: 74 Hrs: 21 Mins: 8 Seconds: 39

You are being noticed by the people in the know Blue. I liked what you said Blue Cloud about some days you dont think about smoking. Wonderful sign of what is in your grasp and what the future is going to feel like for Blue Cloud. Your quit of three months reminds me of mine and how I did not think about smoking from time to time. All of the relying on the cigs for company fades in time, as you start to realize that smoking was killing you Blue. Beach time soon! Blue Cloud, A long time ago, I started a thread called 'The Plateau' which tackled this very subject. Not original, there are several others (including a very good one by FISHOUTOFWATER), but maybe worth a look. The fact that you recognise where you are in your quit and that you know that you always have friends on the SSC will serve you well at a time when many here feel a little vulnerable. All the best.... :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 600 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 18,000 Amount Saved: 4,500.00 Life Gained: Days: 96 Hrs: 10 Mins: 37 Seconds: 6

When I woke up this morning I felt the urge to smoke. That has not happened in a while and I began to wonder why. Something to do. Smoking was always something to do. I did not have to be busy or if I was it was always right there when I finished. I also did not cough this morning. It has been awhile now since anyone has said any thing to me about coughing. I was very aware of it and it was always embarrassing when someone would bring my attention to it. No one notices what you do not do when it comes to smoking. It is not even 100 days and the people around me act like I have never smoked. I am not getting the pats on the back or even asked about it anymore. I actually am beginning to go long periods of time without thinking about it. When I see someone else smoking I feel sad for them. This site is wonderful for me. I can come here and talk about all the things no one notices but me.
