Try again, first congratulations on staying smoke-free during such trying times.
I really feel for you, I went through something similar back in June.
My Molly girl had to be euthanized, she was 21 years old, she was my friend, she was my horse. I stayed with her right until the end.
It was a very difficult time, I was grateful to have my donkeys to help me through my grief. It is like losing a member of your family.
She is gone but I will never forget her.
