Good Morning, hope everyone is in fine fettle today.
Today is a really massively special day for me. I can't quite put my finger on it. Ah yes...
...It is Wednesday! :)
I normally give thanks for making this special Wednesday individually. But today, I will do a collective one. Thanks for helping me keep smokefree! If I knew how to do those in-post animations, it would be a big hugging smiley emoticon.
Well todays special reward is :
Tresor Mix Vol.1 : DJ Kriek
Tresor Mix Vol.2 : DJ Luke
I am hoping it will help overcome a certain junkie vision that repeats on me. All I need now is to get some christmas lights and find a disused cold and concrete underground carpark. :)
For this post I would like to focus on positives. I've been thinking about what keeps me from rushing to the shops and buying a pack of smokes.
1) Timing. The fact that where I work they do not sell any tobacco and as I don't drive the only source of cigarettes for a large part of the day is my smoking workmates.
2) Luck. Lucky for me, none of them smoke my brand.
3) Hope. Whenever I am down and ready to crack (which happens very often) someone springs up with something to give me hope.
4) Rewards. I have a huge list of music I would like. Each time I get near completing it, something good comes out and gets added to my list. It has been known that a young poster called Kelly has a knack of adding bands to my list too :) Therefore I keep smokefree in order to get the music vouchers. Yes I did it for the cookie.
5) Tools. In order to make it through the day smokefree you often rely on certain tools. Mine have been adapted over time and along the way I have found I now have several at my disposal. patchouli baths, iced water, virtual smoking breaks (fall/winter), long fast walks (spring/summer), hourly deep breathing, mints, chillout music and sleep. Just to name a few. Rewards are course part of the tool collection but deserved their own number due to how important they are in keeping smokefree.
6) Ability to post. It is something I do lots and often. It's actually no good smoking and then posting so do it before hand. Wait a bit and you will get a decent reply from someone who has been in the same situation.
7) New friends. Before I quit I was a very sociable animal. At the same time as losing lots of aquaintences by quit protection (not going to the pub), I gained a lot of new friends here.
I am sure there will be lots more from me today. Until then, hope you like the postive post stuff.
