Tam,
Be very proud of yourself. In your grief you became strong.
With such a trial behind you sky is the limit in your quit.
Leave the sadness and unanswered questions to God.
HE is in control.
With you,
Mercy

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like you had more support than you planned on. Loss of a family member is alway a difficult time, but when the good memories come you will smile and laugh and be grateful for them.
I am so proud of you. You stayed smoke free and now have a working tool to get you though a difficult time. Relax, and try to enjoy the moments.

Hi All,
I am back from Alberta. My grandpa's funeral was a wonderful celebration of his life and very difficult at the same time.
I didn't smoke at all. I was able to spend as much time as possible with my grandma and other family while friends/extended family sneeked out for a smoke. I didn't think I would be able to get through it, but kept thinking 2 things 1) smoking won't make me feel better 2) my mom,dad and siblings are dealing with this without smoking, so I can too.
I guess I celebrated 30 days of quitting while I was gone.

I'm sorry for your loss, tam. Good fo ryou for not smoking, for realizing it won't help. It can be very difficult to stay in control during such a trying & emotional time & we're proud of you.
Lainey's advice is excellent. Go back to your strategies of the first few days. You will find it not only distracting but comforting as well.
We're with you, tam. Hang in & you will have a beaten a really big trigger.
