IMAQUITTER, You are in our thoughts and prayers. You have come through a lot and remember you have come through and are shining brilliantly. Take your you time and refocus your energies. You have to take care of you first and you have passed the first test by quitting. Have a good vacation and for the heaven's sake stay away from the electronic stores! Josie, Support Specialist

Oh, Traci, such mixed feelings from your post! I'm so happy to hear from you, we'e missed you too, and there's nothing weird about it, we love you. I'm also happy to hear your quit is so strong & you are so positive & confident. But so sorry to hear that things are so rough for you now. It will all work out somehow & I know, because you can still keep up that awesome sense of humour, that you will make the best of whatever outcome you get. You are such a wonderful person, Traci, & you are in all our hearts & minds. Please check in when you can & know that we are all there with you. Good to hear from you, Traci. I was wondering where you've been. I'm sorry to hear life has been testing you. I hope it all gets better and settles down soon. Safe travels. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 870 Amount Saved: $169.65 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 16 Mins: 8 Seconds: 39

Nope (pun intended), not because I am thinking of puffin, not even close - but I will talk about that so my post will stay... I am doing GREAT on the no-smoke thing. I am lax about taking my chantix now (I know, that isn't a good thing) but I have no cravings at all. Nudges, yes - but no cravings. I still have my guard up but after the last month of life issues, I think it is truly INSANE that I EVER let a rolled up bunch of weeds control and take a huge part of my life. So NOPE - not EVER! Now - to the real reason I posted. I miss all of you! I mean, in a weird (probably scary) way. Maybe it is transference...no funnies or life lessons from those I really got to know (and you know who you are), or sharing my own twisted sense of wit that even had me linked with unhooked (something I take pride in) -- life has just been blah and is not going to get better anytime soon. Son-in-law came out of coma but has some brain injury - that is now the least of his worries. He has sepsis and is on dialysis. Anyone who knows about sepsis understands this is a downhill slide. He is 41 years old and my step daughter said goodbye to him one evening when he went for a ride and now is living at a hospital with him. So there is a serious black cloud over Quitter-land and I think those of you who remember me know that is SOOOO not me. We are leaving in a few days to go to TN to be with the family so who knows when I'll be back online -- so I will leave you with one last funny story (that DOES involve not smoking you little moderators you..) and hope that you all remember me when I return.... Imaquitter's Lessons in Testing your Quit (that is the not smoking part I was talking about Jos): Step 1: Break IPOD (a/k/a my second love) Step 2: Buy New Video IPOD for Cali trip Step 3: Lose new IPOD while in Cali (owned for 1 week) Step 4: Break cell phone Step 5: Decide to buy an Iphone since they dropped the price and it has an IPOD in it (Brilliant thinking on my part) Step 6: Buy Iphone, take home and realize my operating system needs to be updated to use Iphone (So brilliant I can't read a box!) Step 7: Buy new OS and realize I have now spent more than the original iphone purchasers! (Okay - so idiot is a better word for me) Step 8: Install new OS and watch my poor MAC melt down. - ALL those steps and I never smoked!!!!!!!! In the end, I was w/out my computer for almost 2 weeks but I have my beloved MAC back and I am having a secret affair with my Iphone. Moral of this very true story: No matter what you buy or lose, how brilliant or stupid you feel, or whatever meltdown you experience --- YOU DO NOT NEED TO SMOKE! Okay - just deal with it for goodness sakes! Thank you and good night. Please keep my family in your thoughts/prayers/wishes. But most importantly - keep your quit -- life really truly can be worse than cravings for a smoke. Hope to be back soon !
