Wotcha Kev - thought I'd check in to your thread and see what's been going on! Music's nice and loud I see! Keep going - you're looking great! Mornin' Kev. Oh, wait, afternoon, Kev! ;) You are so not gonna smoke! What in the world would that get you? Depressed, I think, and then I would become depressed cuz I would miss your posts and your creativity. May I suggest stopping those daydreams in their tracks when they start rather than indulging in the fantasy? Just a thought. :) (Could there be a touch of ADD going on here? Hmm?) Ah, a nice relaxing bath sounds wonderful, doesn't it? It's getting colder in the evenings so the warm water would feel so relaxing and comforting. I think you've got a good plan there. Maybe add some good music (not electronica ;))... how about some Rise Against? Or if you want something more mellow how about a little Lifehouse? Both of those always pick me up. Congrats on 108,000 smoke free-minutes! (6,480,000 smoke-free seconds!) Oh! Thanks for the "Yay"s. You are so awesome! Hi Kev. Hope you are well today and not exhausted with all that musing.... The embroidery is of an 'anything-you-like-bird' and so can be either a boy or a girl. I think it is more of a cheeky/cheery chappie myself. He is dancing on a carpet of clover - searching out the 4 leaf ones. You don't need luck any more - YOU'VE CRACKED IT! Best wishes, Six Month Gen!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 181 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,896 Amount Saved: 905.00 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 0 Mins: 1 Seconds: 24

Morning Kev I so relate to what you are saying this morning...the daydreams and escape plans. I keep telling myself that this is all part of the normal process. I have caved a couple times at around this point, so I am very aware of when the junkie and normal thinking become intertwined. One question that has been floating around my brain is "Am I still quitting." Some hours the answer is 'yes', and other hours it is 'No, I'm quit.' So I have some work yet to do in that direction. NO MANS LAND. I still think everyday about going back to smoking - just a thought really, but I also have glimpses that soon I may just be able to say: No, I won't go back to smoking. Ah well, such is the process, Kev. Yep, flat part coming up, I think. Hi Sue, Nice to see ya. You look great as well. 144 is a great score. I missed all of unhooked's bacony fun last night. Its a pity I have to sleep sometimes :) Aloha, I hope you are having a much better time of it today. Lolo, a huge big hug from me and remember for you it is now Lolo 168 Junkie 0. Kelly, I love the new avatar. Very funky! Is that the cha cha slide? :) Gen, you are great. I love the tapestry btw. My mum asks whether the seagull is a boy or girl seagull :) *** Todays musing is called : 'The Lure (Act I)' The junkie me for some reason is lusting after my old smoking life. Ever since Saturday afternoon. I've been having new things happen like daydreams so real that I check my pockets for lighters afterwards. My first daydream has something to do with bus stops! Nothing unusual there as I seemed to spend most of my life at bus stops. Queueing is an english passtime after all. It has to do with the fact that all of these no smoking signs have appeared at them and some I feel should not even have the sticker there due to the amount of sides open to the elements. In my daydream I am there smoking, making a point for the minority. Weird stuff huh?! Well it is just another crazy thing that happens in the world of kev. My school teachers always wrote that I seemed to spend a lot of time staring out the window daydreaming! :) In other daydreams I have been in a pub garden and I have found the perfectly sheltered bench with decent heating (anyone who knows garden heaters know that you either fry your head or feel no effect at all). There I have lined up 6 jd and cokes and a pack of smokes which I am smoking one by one. laughing and joking with pub aquaintences. Why this should happen now and not earlier is a bit of a mystery. Maybe I just didn't notice or pay too much attention before. Whilst I am on a self analysis session (theres always a possibility that my junkie thoughts and normal thoughts get intertwined)... Today is 75 days down so if I was going to smoke then I thought I would have by now. Maybe it is the fact that I am tiring from all the fighting I do on an hourly basis. It takes a heck of a lot of fighting to keep my junkie in check. So what happens if I smoke? Well a) I will be totally honest about it. I can actually be nothing else here. Plus I am crap at lying. b) I will feel like black sheep of the family twice (once to my real family and once to my new smokefree family here) c) I will thank everybody for helping me get this far. The weird thing is that after reading Lolo's thread, I might actually give it another try even though I said I wouldn't. She's very much an inspiration to me. And dare I say it she reminds me so much in attitude of my real life quit buddy (except Lolo is educated in the way of junkie thought so knows what to look out for). Anyway I haven't smoked and this could all be the junkie me planning an escape. Unhooked will know. She spots my junkie a mile off. The usual case of holding on tight and waiting for the rollercoaster to get to a flat bit. I hope I make it. *** Other sometime interesting facts : 75 days x 24 hours = 1800 hours smoke free. I like those round numbers. Since quitting I have realised I do not actually like brussel sprouts! My teeth are the whitest they have been in over 15 years. I thought it was the amount of tea I drank not the amount i smoked! 1 music album = 1 and a half packets of cigarettes. Not smoking for one week alone (if I spent all my reward money on music) would net me 9 albums. Thats a super huge reason for not smoking! *** So what about tonight? Well I should have a lift in about 1 hr and then i shall go home and chillout to some music on my smokefree 60 day playlist. I may write a random selection here or what i put on it. No cigarette shops for me. That is one way to ensure daydreams stay just that. I'm on the hunt for Ylang Ylang and Patchouli essential bath oils as strangely every shop I have been in for the past month has had a run on them. I tried Ylang Ylang and Neroli but it was not as effective. So it is definitely Patchouli that zonks me out. I am going to see if I can get it from the internet. I'll be around again tomorrow of course. Hopefully reporting I stayed smokefree. Hope everyone has a great day/night. See ya tomorrow (HUGS) from Kev My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,875 Amount Saved: 315.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 10 Mins: 14 Seconds: 53
