Going back to smoking is not going to change anything. Sorry you will be a smoker again. I lost a quit because I was so vain. So I lost a few pounds but then I had two failed attempt at quitting again before I got this one. Windy is a shinning example that it can happen. She waited until she was strong enough in her quit and the she began. She not only lost the weight, she works out all the time. Patience is the key. Sorry Windy, but you did it the right way and I had to toot your horn. In the meantime stay smoke free, eat healthy and exercise. Candi - I didn't almost cry - I DID cry! I had quit smoking and I had outgrown all my clothes. I knew that I was going to have to change my diet and figured that I was never going to have fun again for the rest of my life. It's pretty hard to diet at the beginning of your quit but it is DEFINATELY possible to lose that weight after your quit is strong. At about 100 days, we made some big changes to our eating habits and exercise habits and the weight came off....and guess what! Life is still fun (Honest!). Take care....It all comes together in the end... You got it right Candi, the pounds can come off later, your quit is far more important. Keep up the walks. The weight gain does levell off and your walks will really help, both the weight and well being! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 200 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,000 Amount Saved: $2,110.00 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 10 Mins: 37 Seconds: 50

One thing at a time. The most important thing is to not smoke! You have made it thru the first 2 weeks, don't want to do that again? Good for you for not smoking. If you can quit smoking, you can lose a few pounds down the road. Keep the Quit! I got on the scale and wanted to cry. I gained a total of 7 pounds maybe less but i am at the number on the scale i dont want to see. I was tempted to go back to smoking just because i was at that weight on the scale I had the cigarette in my hand and ready to light it and my son said smoking wont solve it. I been saying all week smoking wont solve the situation. So i knew if i puff on that cigarette i wont magically loose the weight. And i can imagine myself in my 60s laying on my death bed dying of lung cancer thinking why did i go back to smoking over a couple of pounds. So here i am still smoke free couple of pounds more. But i been walking to the park with my kids and at night i do this 20 min turbo workout. I feel good about exercising and i get my endophins in My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 600 Amount Saved: $117.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 0 Mins: 47 Seconds: 12
