Hi, newbies! I'm Unhooked & I agree with my buddy, Bear, except for the part about "a little commitment." It takes a LOT of commitment. You have to want to quit more than you want to smoke, that is the first step. You have to also acknowledge that you are an addict & you can never again have even one puff. The next is preparation & that's where this site comes in. If you make the commitment, work through the program here, read the posts, and ask for help when you need it, you WILL be successful. And then maybe you will come here on your 180th day & tell some newbies how it's done! Welcome to you all & good luck with this amazing, difficult, wonderful, confusing, uplifting journey! Hi Bear, Thanks for the formal introduction. I've been reading your posts and appreciate your 'no nonsense' approach. No worries, you won't be getting any BS from me. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 660 Amount Saved: $128.70 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 0 Mins: 9 Seconds: 30

I,m the Bear.I,m 68 years old and smoked for over 50 years.I smoked every thing that had tobbacco in it.As you can see by my stats I now have 180 days smoke free.So don,t try to B.S. me it can be done. All it takes is a little committment on your part and you,ll get all the support you need to see this thru. Make no mistake you are a drug addict plain and simple, your no different than the coc, heroin ,crack addict in fact your addiction is the most difficult to overcome. Trust me you will benifit big time and the benifits will be obvious in the first week . So good luck and lets get on with it shall we. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 180 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,240 Amount Saved: $1,800.00 Life Gained: Days: 41 Hrs: 3 Mins: 57 Seconds: 58
