I'm happy for you too! I have also quit before - 3 days, 6 months, 3 months - and it always fails the same way. I give in. I allow myself to have just that one puff or that one cigarette. I tell myself all the reasons why it's ok to do it (the evil monster talking) even though I know deep inside it's not really. This time I will NOT give in. I will just say NOPE. Good for you - and keep on goin! Beto, thanks for sharing your story. I had smoked for nearly 40 years. I tried to quit a few times. One time I quit for a year back in the 80s, but thought I could "smoke just one." So much for that! Other quits were much shorter...a few hours, a half day or so. I agree with you...if I had known that I had the strength to hang in there, if I only had...I would have been quit a long, long time. Cigarettes Not Smoked

I am very happy with myself. I got 5 days smoke free and I could tell that the cravings have not been unbearable. I prepared myself for this quit without thinking. I had to relapsed twice and lost a 5 and 3 month quit and decreased the amount of nicotine intake over a period of 12 months after that. I had plenty of 23 hours quit, almost two or three per week, until I decided to quit for good. If I knew then what I know now, I would have fought and stayed quit the first time, but I had to find the hard way. Well, this a very short story of my life and my quits , if you would like to share yours, I am here to listen and there are plenty more who would like to know yours NOPE My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 100 Amount Saved: $5.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 21 Mins: 7 Seconds: 47
